When you join the Online Teaching Starter Kit as an Own Boss or VIP, you’ll get access to 6 Group Coaching Calls. This is a chance to ask me your questions and learn from questions from others too. You’ll also get recordings of each call as well.

The Group Coaching Calls act as “goalposts”, points you can use when you’re setting your progress goals. Each Group Coaching Call is open to all New Pro students, regardless of where you’ve got to in the course but to help you use them as “goalposts”, they’ll each be loosely focused on a Unit from the course for the first 5 months and then the final call will be a chance to ask any questions you have about the whole course.

With that in mind, one of the best ways to use the Group Coaching Calls is to set yourself goals to achieve certain things by each next Group Coaching Call.

Participate in the community

Own Bosses and VIPs get access to the Private Facebook Community, which is something I highly recommend you take advantage of and participate in.

Engaging with the others taking the course in the Facebook Group is a great way to connect and learn from others in the same position as you. Because I know how hard it can be trying to share this stuff with friends and family in your life who don’t necessarily “get” what you do to begin with, never mind understand the specifics of your questions and quieries!

Also worth noting is that you never know where these connections could lead – participating in the Facebook Group could lead to collaborations and great ideas down the line.

Study one Unit at a time

Although the course is designed to be useful when you have a particular question or topic you want to focus on, it is presented to you in the logical order of study. So to avoid becoming overwhelmed and doing nothing for fear of doing everything, take your time and study one Unit at a time.

Take notes and give yourself a chance to take action before rushing through to the next Unit of the course.

Use the workbook alongside each video lesson

Each lesson starts with a short video but that’s just the beginning. Be sure to use the Workbook alongside studying the video lessons to make notes and start to take action on each lesson.

The Workbook isn’t just there to look pretty! It’s going to help you to make the breakthroughs you need to figure out how to put what you learn into action for you.

Use the Progress Planner

As well as the Workbook, you’ll notice in Unit 0 that you have the Progress Planner. Use this.

Keeping track of what you learn and when you do it will help you to visually see your progress.

Not only that but it’s a great chance to review your progress and figure out what you’re good at and where you can improve as you study the Online Teaching Starter Kit.
