Eee! This is exciting! Today I’ve teamed up with not one, but two other language bloggers to bring you the latest ‘9 Reasons’ video: 9 Reasons to Learn Polish.

And as for my Polish? Poor! I have a little script in my head when I meet a Polish person and want to impress them with my nifty (or not so nifty) Polish skills. Picture this (in Polish, of course):

“Hello. I’m Lindsay. I’m English. I’m on holiday. (pretends to bump into Polish person desperate to now escape the situation) I’m very sorry. (pretends to be the other person) No problem. (big grin)”

As you can imagine it’s a huge hit. Or maybe…not so much. And that’s why I asked two people in the know to help me out with this one.

I have to say a huge thank you to both Agnieszka Karch, who blogs at 5 Minute Language, and to Cristóbal del Castillo Camus, who blogs at Krzysiek. Together they came up with 9 fantastic reasons to learn Polish. One thing that’s really interesting about this collaboration is that Cristobal is a learner of Polish and Agnieszka is a native speaker, so we got a real look at it from both sides. Enjoy the video!
